Gotcha Memory is a standalone operational learning loop that records Bash command failures, classifies them by error family, and surfaces recurring failure patterns (GOTCHAs) as warnings injected into stderr before the next run of the same task. It uses two hooks (preflight and postflight) to read and write lessons from a local JSONL store, with curated rules always-on by substring match, and never blocks execution (WARN-only, exit 0 always).
