Patronus Runtime Protection adds native security gates to Claude Code chats, scanning external text and tool results before the model continues using policies configured in the separately installed Patronus Security CLI. The plugin hooks into session lifecycle and user/tool events to check user-authored strings, terminal output, and file content while keeping scanner state isolated and enforcing findings that block dangerous prompts or mask sensitive data.
