idle-compact automatically compacts conversations during idle periods when the prompt cache is warm, reading the context at cache-read prices instead of regular inference costs. It preserves file paths, decisions, TODOs, errors, preferences, and commands while reducing token usage, and runs at most once per idle stretch with a 10-minute cooldown between compactions.
