Evergreen is a self-maintaining protocol and plugin suite for AI agents that keeps skills, documentation, and knowledge current through adaptive research on four tracks (the subject, related tools, agent use patterns, and testing methods), captures learnings to avoid repeated teaching, and evaluates skill worth through A/B testing with automated tuning loops. It works in Claude Code and any agent that reads markdown, storing everything as plain files plus JSON state, with a git-based workflow for collaborative improvements and environment-specific installation recipes.
