Gates is a Claude Code plugin providing five stateless pre- and post-commit guardrails: it blocks git commits that change code without covering docs, workflow scripts with no per-agent model, agent dispatches without explicit model, unparseable config files, and nudges toward docs consolidation when drift is detected. Each gate has an acknowledgment marker for override and can be individually disabled via GATES_DISABLE in settings.json.
