The anchors plugin preserves exact technical details (file paths, commit hashes, error types, URLs, settings, IP addresses) that Claude Code's conversation compaction tends to drop, using plain regex extraction without model calls. When compaction occurs, it automatically recovers dropped details and reinjects them as context if the summary missed them.
