The /mode command switches a Claude Code Remote Control session to any of six permission modes (default, acceptEdits, plan, auto, dontAsk, bypassPermissions) from the Claude app, including Auto and Bypass permissions which the app's menu doesn't expose. It hooks on user prompt submission and sends the mode change directly via the Claude API without consuming a Claude turn.
