thrift
thrift is a Claude Code plugin that optimizes token usage and cost through four independent features: a model router that sizes each prompt as trivial/normal/hard and suggests or automatically switches between Haiku, Sonnet, and Opus; a context coach that alerts when context exceeds a threshold and offers handoff, compaction, or dismissal options; a context line showing session size and growth trends; and an instruction diet that lets you selectively drop system prompt sections to reduce input tokens. All features are individually toggleable and use Haiku classification at minimal cost, with saved tokens appearing in the band above the prompt.
