kb-retriever
This skill enables AI agents to efficiently answer questions over local, multi-format knowledge directories (Markdown, PDF, Excel) using hierarchical index navigation and progressive retrieval that avoids loading whole files into context. It enforces a learn-before-process step for PDFs and Excel files by reading format-specific references first, then uses grep and windowed reads to iteratively narrow down answers over up to 5 rounds.
