auto-handoff is a Claude Code plugin that automatically transfers long sessions to fresh ones before context fills up, using Haiku to write a structured handoff brief to disk and then seeding the new session to continue from that brief. It replaces auto-compact by preserving a fixed-structure handoff document that captures work in progress, decisions, assumptions, and next steps, with optional viewer pages served over Tailscale for easy access.
